Is ribeye tough or tender?

Ribeye is known for its tenderness. Its abundant marbling and lack of tough connective tissue create a soft, buttery texture that makes it easy to cut and enjoy.

Why is ribeye so tasty?

Ribeye is packed with flavor thanks to its rich marbling, which melts during cooking and bastes the meat. This process enhances the steak’s bold, beefy taste and creates a juicy, satisfying bite.

What is another name for a ribeye steak?

Ribeye steak may be marketed as bone-in ribeye or boneless ribeye, but it’s also sometimes called a spencer cut, beauty steak, Scotch fillet, or a Delmonico steak.

Prime rib vs. ribeye: What is the difference between these two cuts?

Ribeye steaks are pieces of meat that are cut from the larger rib primal, then cooked and served. Prime rib is a larger, multi-person cut that’s roasted first, then cut after it’s cooked and rested and served similar to roast beef.

Porterhouse vs. ribeye: What is the difference between these two cuts?

Ribeye steaks are cuts of steak taken from the rib primal of a cow while the porterhouse is sort of a combination steak that includes portions of the tenderloin and top loin (aka pieces of filet mignon and strip steak separated by a hearty bone).

Japanese Wagyu grades combine a yield grade and a meat quality grade. Yield is rated A through C, with A indicating the highest estimated yield of usable meat. Quality is rated 1 through 5 based on marbling, meat color, firmness and texture, and the quality of the fat.

A5 represents the highest combination of yield and quality grades, while A4 is also considered exceptional. Marbling is an important part of the quality assessment and contributes to Wagyu’s tenderness, juiciness, and rich flavor.

Exceeded Every Expectation!

"If you're looking for a steak that has all the tenderness of Prime but without the mild iron-forward flavor USA beef can be known for, this steak is it. We did a side by side comparison of the Prime (bottom 2 steaks) and WH Ribeye (top steak), you can see the difference in the color and marbling. While the wagyu was not as sweet as the Prime it had a super nice beefy flavor and a compact grain that was as tender as you'd expect yet minus the fattiness of some more marbled wagyu steaks. Worth every penny!"

The absolute best

"The absolute best I've EVER had. Followed the hints for thawing and prep (thank you), lightly seasoned and cooked on the grill. If it's any indication. . . I'll be buying again!"

Great Dinner Treat

"Steak was cut 1 inch thick and was almost fork tender. Delicious and compares well to the American Wagyu Allen Brothers offers. I actually prefer the American steak even though it’s more expensive."
