GRILLED MARINATED STRIP STEAK

Steaks:

  • (2) 12 oz, USDA Prime New York Strips

Marinade:

  • 2 Cloves of Garlic crushed
  • 1/2 c. chopped Shallots
  • 1 tbsp. chopped fresh Thyme
  • Salt, Pepper and Red Pepper Flakes to taste
  • 1/2 c. Olive Oil
  • 1 tbsp. chopped fresh Rosemary
  • 1/2 tbsp. chopped fresh Basil

Combine all ingredients and pour over steaks. Allow steaks to marinate for one hour turning once to coat evenly. Remove steaks from marinade. Allow steaks to drain off excess and grill over high heat. Grill 3-4 minutes per side moving steak to medium heat until done to taste.

Use instant thermometer to determine:

  • Medium/Rare: 120° – 130° F
  • Medium: 135° – 140° F
